Surah al-Ma'un

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ (0)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

﴿الماعون ، 0﴾

أَ رَأَيْتَ الَّذِي يُکَذِّبُ بِالدِّينِ (1)

Seest thou one who denies the Judgment (to come)?

﴿الماعون ، 1﴾

فَذٰلِکَ الَّذِي يَدُعُّ الْيَتِيمَ (2)

Then such is the (man) who repulses the orphan (with harshness),

﴿الماعون ، 2﴾

وَ لاَ يَحُضُّ عَلَى طَعَامِ الْمِسْکِينِ (3)

And encourages not the feeding of the indigent.

﴿الماعون ، 3﴾

فَوَيْلٌ لِلْمُصَلِّينَ (4)

So woe to the worshippers

﴿الماعون ، 4﴾

الَّذِينَ هُمْ عَنْ صَلاَتِهِمْ سَاهُونَ (5)

Who are neglectful of their prayers,

﴿الماعون ، 5﴾

الَّذِينَ هُمْ يُرَاءُونَ (6)

Those who (want but) to be seen (of men),

﴿الماعون ، 6﴾

وَ يَمْنَعُونَ الْمَاعُونَ (7)

But refuse (to supply) (even) neighbourly needs.

﴿الماعون ، 7﴾
